The Community Family Services Thrift Store’s dog park began as a unique initiative born from the thrift store’s mission to support the Plymouth community.

Established over 30 years ago, the thrift store arose from a local woman's desire to provide affordable goods and support to families in need.

Recognizing the growing need for a safe and accessible space for dogs and their owners, the store’s leadership envisioned a dedicated area adjacent to the store.

Funding was initially secured through community donations and fundraising events organized by the thrift store volunteers.

Construction of the dog park, completed in 2018, was a testament to the community’s commitment to animal welfare and outdoor recreation.

The park’s design incorporates durable fencing, separate areas for small and large dogs, and a water source for hydration.
