Worn Again Thrift Re-opens in Historic Bank Building

Why Did Worn Again Thrift Move?

Owner Miles Harlow said the vintage hotspot “outgrew every hanger” in its original 900-sq-ft shop. The new location inside the century-old National Bank Building at 101 E. Holly St. offers double the square footage—room for 40 pairs of jeans in every size instead of 10.

What’s Special About the New Space?

The bank’s soaring arched windows, vault doors, and marble floors give shoppers a slice of local history while browsing racks of ’80s denim and Y2K tees. Harlow hired Bellingham artists to paint window graphics and refurbish antique fixtures, keeping the project hyper-local.

How Does the Expansion Help Shoppers?

  • Twice the inventory: more sizes, more styles.
  • Wider aisles: improved accessibility for wheelchairs and strollers.
  • No price hike: the shop vows to keep its mix of $5 basics and premium vintage finds.

Grand Opening Highlights

Hundreds turned out on April 19, 2025 for live music, a vault-turned-photo-booth, and a raffle benefiting the local food bank. The first 50 shoppers snagged limited-edition tote bags silk-screened by Western Washington University students.
