What are the rules for using Seton Dog Park?
• Dogs must be under voice control at all times.
• Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Dog mitts and waste containers are provided.
• Please close both entrance gates upon entering and leaving the dog park area.
• Children are not allowed on the play equipment and are strongly discouraged from entering the Dog Park due to the risk of dog bites.
• Your dog may not be in heat, sick, have parasites or be younger than four months old.
What identification requirements are there for my dog?
Dogs must have a valid license and a current rabies vaccination. Dogs should have their metal ID tag with a validated identification number attached to their collar. Owners without proof of rabies vaccine or license will be asked to leave the dog park. What if my dog becomes aggressive?
If your dog becomes aggressive, unruly, or plays rough, please leash your dog and leave immediately.
What should I bring to the dog park?
Please bring your own water bowl each time you visit the park. Communal water bowls are not permitted due to the potential for bacterial contamination.
Are there any restrictions on what I can bring into the dog park?
No food allowed inside. This includes dog food and treats.
What happens if my dog has parasites?
Dogs may not be in heat, sick, have parasites or be younger than four months old.
What if I lose something in the dog park?
Any bowls, or other items, left in the dog park will be removed and brought to the lost and found at the Griffin Visitor Center.

Seton Dog Park is overseen by Onondaga County Parks.

The project was completely funded through corporate sponsors and individual donations. Wegmans as the presenting sponsor, covered the ‘dog’s share’ of the project. How are the park inspectors (Auxiliary Park Inspectors) involved?
The Auxiliary solicits funding to purchase horses, tack and provide training for both the Volunteers and the Professional Officers. Since inception it has provided for the safety of those utilizing the parks, by maintaining a clearly visible presence.
Can I take photographs or videos at Seton Dog Park?
During your visit to Onondaga County Parks, you may be photographed, videotaped, or filmed by Onondaga County Parks or authorized parties. Your attendance/admission serves as permission for use of these images by Onondaga County Parks. Commercial photography or filming is prohibited without permission.
