Church Calvary Chapel South Kent began its journey in 1994, rooted in a desire to provide a traditional, Bible-based church experience for the growing community of South Kent, Washington.
Initially, the congregation met in various private homes, a common practice for Calvary Chapels emerging across the Pacific Northwest.
This intimate setting fostered strong fellowship and allowed the nascent church to develop its unique identity.
Recognizing the need for a dedicated worship space, the church diligently worked towards establishing a permanent location.
In 1997, this dedication culminated in the purchase of the current building at 825 Pacific Avenue.
This building, previously a feed and grain store, was thoughtfully renovated to serve as the cornerstone of Calvary Chapel South Kent.
Throughout its history, the church has remained committed to core Baptist beliefs, emphasizing expository preaching, a focus on discipleship, and a welcoming atmosphere for individuals of all backgrounds.
