History

ChurchGreen Valley Southern Baptist Church Mount Vernon Ohio began its roots in 1983, emerging from a small group of believers seeking to establish a vibrant, Christ-centered community.

Initially meeting in the Mount Vernon High School gymnasium, the congregation quickly grew, driven by a strong commitment to evangelism and outreach within the Mount Vernon area.

Pastor Robert Miller led the church’s formation and initial years, emphasizing discipleship and biblical teaching.

The church transitioned to its current location on North Broadway in 1998.
